Bell Ringers

St Peter’s has 8 bells which are rung for every Sunday morning service at 9:45 with practice night on Fridays from 7:30 till 9, often followed by a visit to a local pub! The ringers range in age from teenagers all the way to 70+ from a wide range of backgrounds including scientists, local government and teachers, so it is true that anyone can ring! We are also a sociable bunch outside normal ringing, with extra activities such as an annual quiz (8 time reigning champions!), barbecues and ringing trips to other parts of the country.

St Peter’s also has a simulator set-up on multiple bells allowing for additional practice without disturbing nearby residents.

We always welcome new members regardless of ability, or even if you just want to come up the tower and see how we ring. Come along to a practice night on Friday or speak to Lorraine Booth (07773 402711) for more details.

We also welcome any visiting ringers who want to enjoy our bells. For more details speak to Lorraine Booth (07773 402711).
