Safeguarding

We take our duty and obligation to safeguard and protect all people extremely seriously, and we have adopted the national Church of England’s robust safeguarding procedures and guidelines. The care and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in Church activities is the responsibility of the whole Church.

 

If you or anyone you are in contact with would like to talk with someone independently, or if you are concerned that someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused, or presents a risk to others, please call one of the following helplines, or if necessary report the matter to the Local Authority Social Care Services or the Police without delay:

  • Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.

  • Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.
