Friday 14th. May at the Burley Hall at 8-00 p.m.

 

'Muzacks Gig' dance, disco and barbeque supper.   £7.50 per head. Get your babysitters booked and join us for a great night.

Tickets available from church or the Post Office.

 

Saturday 15th. May at the Burley Hall, 10-00 a.m. to 1-00 p.m.

 

Coffee Morning and ‘Bring and Buy’ Sale. Books, toys, cakes, bric-a- brac. Stalls and a raffle. Start sorting out your cupboards for unwanted items. Come along, bring your friends, and enjoy some St Peters’ hospitality - a cup of coffee, cake and chat.

The Rectory Garden Party is back!     Bar, food, games and stalls.

Strawberry teas.   Proceeds in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.  Make this a must!

 

 

MOSTLY MOZART, FOR A MIDSUMMER’S EVE

 

A concert featuring talented young local musicians, with a chamber orchestra led by current and recent Royal Northern College of Music graduates.

 Mozart Piano Concerto, played by Xenia Spencer-Milne (Upton).

 Songs by Richard Strauss, Finzi etc., sung by William Smith from Waverton, accompanied on the piano by Romain Louveau (Paris).

 

Orchestra conducted by Daniel Parkinson (Kelsall)

 

Sunday 20th June at 7.30 p.m.Wesley Methodist Church, St.John St, Chester

Pay at the door, £5.00 – proceeds to local charities.  
 

Youth Music in Chester is thriving and is strongly supported by many voluntary organisations focused on developing opportunities for the city’s young talent.

Growth Action Plan

At their May meeting the PCC considered all the ideas put forward during the planning process and decided to concentrate on three specific areas during 2010/2011 – the Family Service, Pastoral Care

and the Church’s “Welcome” area.  Full details can be found in the Rector’s letter on pages 2, 3 and 4.

 

Mid-week Holy Communion

  Next mid-week Communion will be held on Wednesday, 2nd. June,

at 2-30 p.m.  in the Burley Hall.

   All are welcome to this short service which is held in the

meeting-room and will be followed by tea/coffee and biscuits, and the

opportunity for a social chat.

 

St. Peter’s Gift Day

This year’s Gift Day in aid of our Church will be held on Saturday, 26th.June. The Rector and wardens will be in the shopping precinct

car-park from 8-00 a.m. onwards, to collect envelopes containing

donations.  

 

 The amount collected during Christian Aid week was

£1527-22. A big “Thank you” to all involved.

 

Luncheon Club (see page 23)

St. Peter’s is responsible for organising this monthly meal, twice a

year. The team of ladies who discharge this responsibility are in      

urgent need of more assistance.

The next meal to be organised by St. Peter’s is on Friday 9th. July
